San Antonio

I have the BEST husband...........he took work off and flew me out to San Antonio to visit some of my close friends. I flew out Thursday morning and got back Sunday evening.

Amy picked me up and I stayed at her house, she also organized the entire weekend full of festivities.

On Saturday we went to get pedicures. It felt So good to have someone else take care of my feet and give me a good foot rub!

Then we had my favorite Mexican "Alamo Cafe." They have the BEST queso and chips in the world! I also love their chimichanga.

Sharon had a big party at her house. We stuffed ourselves sick with chocolate covered strawberries, peanut butter cupcakes, chips-n-dip, enchiladas, lasagna, etc. It was SO yummy! I know I gained 5 lbs just that night! ha! Holly and me, I am holding little Ian~6 weeks old We were also celebrating Amy's birthday
Thanks to Sharon for all the wonderful food and for hosting an amazing evening!
I truly miss all my friends in San Antonio. But I feel blessed that I was able to go back to visit.

8th Anniversary

Well we dropped the kiddos off with their Neena and we headed for the mountains. Up to Midway, UT to celebrate our 8th anniversary. On the way we saw some pretty cool ice formations as we passed through the historic and quaint town. We had heard some recommendations for the place so we were hoping for the best. As it turns out, the Homestead Resort, where we stayed, was a great choice. We had our own little cottage suite with a private entrance and a great view of the mountains. It was comfortably elegant.

Anyway, we had everything right there on the resort and it made it so nice to relax and spend some quality time together...Wink, wink, nudge, nudge...you know what I mean. We also swam in the hot spring crater, which was way cool. It is 90 feet deep and about the same for temperature.
Then in the morning it was off to Park City to see how rich people live and of course purchase some caramel apples from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, yum! We did a little shopping and froze our nubbins off since we totally didn't plan for how cold it was going to be. Regardless our anniversary was a lot of fun and we had a great time together.

Well we loved our stay at the resort and the time we had to celebrate eight wonderful years of marriage together.

My first hair

Little Miss Avery has had the "old man" hair since she was born.........hair in the back and little on top. She got a little A-line bob in the back a couple months ago because it was getting so long but the rest wasn't catching up!
I decided to explore and see what her hair can do..............

She got her first curl on top.....or some would call it a "mohawk." I was suprised, I really did not think there was much on top.

And with a little bit of ky gel we made the back all curly. The back is actually long enough for pony tails but we'll wait to do those another day.
Cuttest little bug isn't she!!

This baby girl makes me so happy. She is such a happy thing! Her new thing this week is nodding her head "yes" or "no" to things she wants or doesn't want. New word is "Daddy!" And you will not hardly ever catch her without a stuft animal~usually it's the poodle!

Christmas Break!

I have slacked off from blogging..........! Now that I have found some time and am going through pictures, I realized that we did not take very many~I am really bummed. Here are a few good ones we have.
Making Gingerbread houses..........

Avery at Neena's house Christmas Eve......she thinks she's so big at the table!
During Christmas break we were able to drive up to Enterprise Oregon to see all of Isaac's family. It was great being able to see everyone. Here we are at Mad Mary's eating lunch~yummy sandwiches!
One of the days we went snow shoeing, the kids had a blast. It was a little windy, but that didn't stop everyone from having a great time!

Scentsy!!

Scentsy!
Maybe you know already, but I just started as an Independent Scentsy Consultant. Really what that means is that I can work a little bit from home, get some great deals, meet awesome people and of course make a little extra fun money!

I would like to get you all involved and get you on board. This may seem a little unorthodox, but I am looking for some ladies that would be willing to host some Scentsy Parties for their friends! I am still new here in our new community, but I know that I still have friends around the country that I can count on and trust.
What's in it for you? Well, I am glad you asked. There are multiple rewards for being a host. From free products and half priced items, I think that we can find something for you that will make this worth it. The great thing about it is that it won't require much from you. I will provide you with the product, the information and anything else to help make it a successful party. I know that together we can make a great Scentsy experience for all!

With the holidays just around the corner, there is still time to get those last minute gifts and Scentsy has many unique warmers, plug-ins, car scents and home accents that should do nicely. Also this month the SNOWFLAKE Warmer is 10% off!

Please let me know if you are interested. Once again there are great rewards for basically just throwing a party with several of close friends. Please contact me for details! I can't wait to work with you! You can find more product info and new items on my website: nicholehipple.scentsy.us or feel free to contact me at 830-734-1506

Surgery #2

Well the second surgery is complete...what a relief. But let me tell you, this little munchkin is a trooper. She was up and about as soon as she woke up from the narcotic cocktail they gave her during the surgery.

The surgery itself took about 2.5 hours. Of course we just have to wait in the reception room, anxiously anticipating the update. However, everything went well. They had to do a little more poking and prodding (not technical medical terminology) so she is a little more bruised and sore than last time. However, you could hardly tell by looking at her.

We are so happy to have her with us and we are indeed grateful for the wonderful doctors and nurses at Primary Children's hospital. Thinking about the other options we had before coming here to Utah, we can only be grateful to our Heavenly Father for blessing us with the opportunity to be here. We can only imagine what it would have been like, if we had to go through this in Korea, Italy or Germany.
Avery is a beautiful little girl and she is already beaming smiles and passing giggles on to the rest of us with her beautiful little spirit. Her sisters were elated to have her back and drew her many pictures and a welcome home sign when we got back to Neena's. THANK YOU NEENA for watching our other two little munchkins!

Once again we couldn't be happier to have this over with and we pray that Avery's kidneys will respond well to the surgery and continue to heal. It could to take up to 6-12 months for them to completely heal, but knowing her that ain't gonna stop her!
