Bus Time

Here is Maddie getting on the bus to go to school........
Here is Maddie coming home from school. The bus was a little early so I caught her already running to me......lol
This was Maddie last night after she was asleep. She has a bad habit of picking her bottom lip until it bleeds. She then gets blood all over the sheets, blankets, etc. I was tired of washing sheets every day so my mom gave me a good idea~to put mittens on so she won't pick. We also put vaseline on her lips and tell her not to touch the beautiful shiny lips!
Oh, just so you all know-we ended up taking her glasses back, the prescription was to strong and she used them as a toy. So we are going to use a patch when she's at home watching T.V and she should be good in about 6 months to a year.

My SWEET Maddie

Can I just say that I LOVE this little angel girl! Having her gone at school and becoming a "big girl" has really been a rough road for me~my heart strings have been tugged on a little much lately. But having her run to me and jump in my arms saying, "mommy!" every day after school is the BEST!! Today she told me, "mommy, I miss you like crazy, I think I can't wait for my daddy to come home from his airplane." I just had to laugh because I am usually the one telling her every day after school that I miss HER like CRAZY! Then so goes on to tell me that she did the days of the week, the months of the year, reading with the kids, etc. Then she always mentions what she had for lunch, her favorite is the chocoalte milk......mmmm!

This is a picture of the girls just before Maddie was off to school.

Esotropia-Glasses

We noticed a few weeks ago that when Maddie was up close to something and really concentrating her right eye would turn in. So we made her a doctor appointment on Thursday, they checked her vision and it was perfect! But they noticed that her eye was turning in. She has what is called Esotropia and the best way to fix it is with glasses and maybe even a patch. The doctor thinks she will need glasses for her early childhood and that should give her eye enough time to correct itself.

So we took her to get glasses at Lenscrafters and she thought that was pretty cool! But really her favorite part is the glasses container because it is black with BARBIE on it. She is having a hard time realizing that they stay on her face, not in the cute container. lol!

We are a little frusterated because when we were getting her glasses, they were shocked that the doctor even decided to have her get them~she said that for some reason military doctors always do this. She was even more shocked at how strong the prescription was! I guess people usually have there kids this young wear a patch or they grow out of it?? So when Maddie put them on she said, "you guys are big!" She also told me that "the glasses make me not see gooder." So we are going to have her wear them a little bit tomorrow and even have her try reading to us so we can see if she is able to read the letters or numbers. Looks like we'll be heading back to the doctor's next week :( Maybe the glasses won't be the best idea~plus it's to much money to waste.

Yahoo!

Isaac's temporary call sign is "yahoo." How they came up with that one, I do not know! I am sure they were drunk though. lol! Remembering that today is September 11th, I am so grateful for Isaac and the sacrifces he makes for our family and country. I can't even comprehend what it would be like to be a Fighter Pilot in an F16. What an amazing and rewarding job! I do know that if I got a ride in one, I am sure I would not live through it!

Thanks!

Thanks to all those that have had Isaac in your prayers. Yesterday he had a few doctor appointments and of course that was the day he was not seeing double vision any more! How crazy! His CAT Scan came back normal, now he has to see a neurologist and get an MRI tomorrow night. But it looks like it is nothing big and things will be good!! He has some classes and studying to catch up on now...................

As for the rest of us, I got a membership at Gold's Gym since the one here I can not take the kido's! I am making a goal to get up at 7am and read and by 7:30-8am the girls are up. Then I can make them breakfast, get dressed and out the door by 8:45am to work out. Maddie is taking the bus now and it picks her up at 10:55am and brings her back at 3:20pm. I was so nervous today having her go on the bus, I called when I knew she would be there to make sure she was safe. She is gone 1 hour longer since she is riding on the bus and I miss her like crazy. I left the house early to pick her up because I was so anxious. Every bus that drove by made my heart beat, then I saw hers and could not wait to see her little angel face. As soon as she got off the bus today I picked her up and just starting bawling. She clung on to me so tightly and I clung right back!!! It's those moments that you charish and love the BEST! I did not want her to see me crying so I told her that I was SO HAPPY she was home to play with me! She thought the bus was pretty cool~I hope to get used to it! (even typing it make me cry again......what a boob!)

Brynlee and I get a long really well in the day. It's so nice to have some one on one time with her and be able to try doing a little school. She loves to help me clean-she wipes the entire house down with a rag.

I thought I was going to be so bored, but that is definetly NOT the case. We are busy, busy, busy! I have my two little angels and my man to thank for that! I love them!

DOUBLE VISION

Sorry, no pictures this time. Just wanted to update you all with Isaac..................we returned from vacation on Sunday when he started feeling like his eyes were extremely tired. Later in the day he started seeing double of everything. Things progressed and it got worse by Monday. Since is was Labor day everything was closed so he saw a doctor on Tuesday instead. They could not diagnose much at the time since it was not a specialiast. But they checked his vision and found everything to be pretty good. His right eye is "cockeyed," I guess meaning it's turned in a little causing double of everything. So they gave him a patch to put in his sunglasses to make things look normal.
On Monday he has a CAT Scan and Wednesday evening he will have an MRI checking to see if there is a tumor or other related problems. We hope it goes away on it's own with some eye exercises or at least hope he won't have to go through surgery or anything else major? For now, he can't fly and may have to wait until next year (September) to start class~even move to Phoenix for another class date. I guess Kelly only has one class per year and that is why we would have to wait so long.
So keep us in your prayers. He is scared he won't ever be able to fly. I guess it's all for a good reason though. :)

Pre-K

Madelyn started Pre-K today. She is attending Ever's Elementary School every day from 11:30-2:45pm. She was very excited! Brynlee was mad because she wanted it to be "my school!" I will take her in the mornings and a bus will drop her off in the afternoon. That will be nice because Brynlee naps until around 4pm.
